The Quezon Memorial Circle
On this post, we'll visit the Quezon Memorial Circle in Diliman, Quezon City. We can enter into it by its entrances in front of the Quezon City hall, North Avenue, Visayas Avenue or Commonwealth Avenue. If you are bringing your own car, the best entrance is in corner Commonwealth Avenue or in front of the Quezon City hall.
we'll find in here the Quezon Memorial Shrine as shown below. Inside are the Quezon Memorial Museum and President Manuel Quezons remains.
This is the best place for skaters, lovers, family in picnic, friends and peers, even for clubs for their practice, training, seminars, rehearsal, and even initiations.
At early morning, joggers are running along roads inside the circle. It also has fastfoods and restaurants inside, CR, Tri-Sikad for rent, and courts for Basketball, Volleyball, and Badminton. It is open from the morning to 11:00 Midnight.
Bad News on my favorite computer shops
Great Lakes Computer center and TQM Technologies are two of the computer shops that I often go for shopping. But it was reported that they were raided for selling pirated products. Here's the news from the Manila Bulletin:
The NBI confiscated various hardware and installers, worth some R5 million, after securing a search warrant last February 18 from QC Regional Trial Court Judge Hilario Laqui. A surveillance arm of Microsoft Philippines conducted a test-buy prior to the raid.I feel pity to my friends on that stores, pero wala tayong magawa. They're stores engaged with the said crime and ofcourse they too were affected by it.
The five computer retailers raided were Computers & Options (also known as TQM Technologies), Dynamic Ultra Tech Inc., Great Lakes Computer Center, Green Lakes Computer Center, and Save on Surplus.
A total of 52 computer sets were seized, according to Intellectual Property division chief Justo Yap, head of the raiding team. "(We) are vigilant in monitoring the activities of software and hardware distributors to ensure that they are abiding by the law, and we will not hesitate to bring offenders to justice," he said in statement.
