Ogie Alcasid After SOP

Yesterday at 4:00 in the afternoon, we went to the chowking restaurant located near the LTO office, East Avenue, Quezon City. While my companions ordered halu-halu, I waited at a vacant table adjacent to the table where the three small guys eat chicken.

I focused my eyes into the guy who wore red polo-shirts, and found him to be familiar and was similar in profile with the famous song-writer, Mr. Ogie Alcasid. Then I said to myself, "this guy was really a fan of Ogie, for he tried to imitate the singer-actor, from the hair style to his way of wearing shirts."

After a while, Ka Perla, the one who paid for our order, sat beside me, told me, "look! It's Ogie!" That was the time when I realized that it was not just the fan of Ogie Alcasid that I was staring with, but it’s Ogie himself.

Shocked-Earthquake

Yesterday at 10:00 PM, I started checking the PC-CPU with Pentium III processor unit sent to our shop for repair. When I open CPU casing, I found out that it had been already dismantled, since modules and connectors were disconnected from its proper connection.

So, instead of assembling it up immediately, I first checked modules by modules, from SDR Memory module, LAN Card, Video Card, Sound Card, speaker and switches. These parts were all in condition. Then I checked the capacitors mounted on the motherboard for any mounting problems, but again I found nothing.

I then checked the motherboards operating condition... and I found two problems. It could operate only for a couple of minutes then, the system automatically shut down itself. Second, PS2 ports were malfunctioning, and there couldn't detect the keyboard and the PS2-mouse.

I didn't know how to fix this problem, so, I rather got my old mother board for Pentium III and replaced it.

At 2:00 AM, I finished assembling the CPU and then, everything went fine.

At 4:00 AM, I laid down my self on my bed to take a rest, but I was shocked and even lost my breath when the earthquake shook my bed slowly. I wanted to stand up, but my joints sucked and I couldn't even move my head. It took me minutes to recover.

Manila Means What?

Filipinos who came from different provinces of the Philippines believed that job opportunities await them in Manila. This is one of the reasons why many Filipinos tried to migrate to Manila in search for the good living.

Recruiters went to the provincial area, then recruited some workers and promised them for a job in Manila. At first they were on their job, but after they were layed-off, they choose to stay there to find another job or just stayed and waited the opportunity to come.

There are some who went there to continue their studies in college. After graduating, they tried to seek for a job and stayed there.

There are others also who just spent their vacation in Manila with their loveones, but then decided to stay there instead of going home.
